IMA has successfully completed the expansion of the identification system to include mobile identification, this time at the important Czech University of Life Sciences, where over 1,400 readers are in operation for 22,000 students and employees.
IMA continues to deliver innovative systems to the education sector.
The IMAporter Pro access system is an integral part of the university’s security: “The existing system at CZU is the result of many years of cooperation with the school’s management, primarily with the security and IT department. Because we also operate our system at other schools, we can share our experience between educational institutions, from universities to primary schools,” explains Libor Donth, Head of IMA’s Contract Implementation Department.
The topic of safety in all types of schools is also a priority for the Ministry of Education (MoEYS). Immediately after the December event, Minister Mikuláš Bek convened a meeting on the topic, where he discussed strengthening security not only in universities but also in educational establishments in general with university rectors, representatives of university representatives, the Ministry of the Interior and security forces, and also initiated the establishment of a special working group.
The Ministry considers the Czech University of Life Sciences (CZU) as a model, especially because it has been working on its security for a long time.
“The access system has several advantages, for example we can decide who and when we let into our buildings. It also plays a big role in emergencies, when we are able to open or close a given part of the premises remotely,” adds Ing. Vít Kluger, Head of the Department of Protection of Persons and Property of the CZU. The control of arrivals and departures is crucial for the security of the university, especially in conjunction with other measures such as active campus security and the patrol system.
