The AI4DI project aims to combine Industry 4.0 achievements and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate AI adaptation and digitisation of industrial manufacturing lines. This will be facilitated through transferring machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence from the cloud to the edge, making AI resilient, safe and secure for the manufacturing and process technology of the future.

IMA will design and develop sensor network and HW system for access control unit and mobile application based on requirements for real time tracking and cargo monitoring within the complex industrial environment. Software platform design will aim at the industrial and automotive microcontrollers and interfaces and will involve secure communication layer to infrastructure. AI based fail-operational access control algorithms will be designed.
