The VyBeKo project target aims at extending and updating the interfaces and abilities of IMA’s automotive communication and control unit (ECU). The IMA’s ECU provides an interface for communication networks both inside and outside the vehicle and at the same time it provides limited backup power v for basic communication in non-stable, damaged or destroyed environment.
The proposed interface extension involves especially high-speed 3G/LTE communication, satellite navigation (GPS, Glonass etc), CAN, power line and a BroadR-Reach Automotive Ethernet. The BroadR-Reach is a novel high-speed automotive standard proposed for both time critical and high-speed intra-vehicle communication. It is expected to become a new automotive standard replacing the limitations of contemporary CAN and providing communication platform for next generations of semi-autonomous and fully autonomous vehicles.
IMA s.r.o. continuously extends its product portfolio based on innovation and development activities in cooperation with foreign technological partners. Besides its traditional product platforms (identification, access and security systems) IMA aims to develop new product lines based on its experience with communication and security. Presented project aims to developing company automotive segment and it extends previous development efforts in a successful international projects E3Car (7H09006) and IDEAS (7H12003).
